Franciscan Sister of Christian Charity Community Director Sister Natalie shares her recent comments at the Ariens Family Welcome Center Dedication Ceremony at Silver Lake College of the Holy Family.
In the name of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity I greet each of you and thank you for being here. It is very appropriate that we gather the week after the feast of Thanksgiving to say thank you to all who have made this renovation project a beautiful reality. In particular we thank The Ariens Family for their generous financial gift. You have helped enable the vision of Dr. Domes, the Board of Directors, the planners and architect, the faculty, staff and students see the project progress from a dream to the place we admire today.
If the walls could talk there would be a remembrance of history repeating itself in having a welcoming environment restored to the north entrance of Silver Lake College that has been used for 54 years. History repeating itself in this regard is a blessing. As we look around there are many inviting features. The Franciscan value of hospitality will be experienced by everyone who comes through these doors in years to come.
