Franciscan Sister’s Wisconsin Licentiate Party

Franciscan Sister Elizabeth Benvie reports on Sister Marie Kolbe Zamora’s recent surprise Wisconsin Licentiate party.

On June 15, Sister Marie Kolbe defended her thesis Franciscan Sister Marie Kolbe Licentiate Partyentitled: “Ecclesiological Elements in the Early Theology of St. Bonaventure” in Rome, Italy. Then on July 7 she presented the published copy of her thesis and received a Licentiate in Sacred Theology Summa Cum Laude from the Gregorian Institute in Rome, Italy.

The Sisters at Chiara convent surprised Sister Marie Kolbe with a special dinner on Sunday, July 12. She was especially surprised to be surrounded by her step sister Barry and family from Houston, Texas, former students, friends, Dr. Chris Domes and his wife Mary, as well as the Sisters from the General Administration and Sisters from local community.

Sisters Christine Stoller and Margaret Ann Wallander prepared a meal fit for royalty!
