Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity’s display for Our Lady of Guadalupe includes golden roses.
A few years back, St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Manitowoc, WI was distributing red roses for Mothers Day. At the end of the day’s Masses, we received some beautiful roses. After arranging them, they adorned our chapels for a few days.
Sister Caritas Strodthoff then dried them and much later spray painted them gold. They now continue to add a special golden touch at Mary’s feet on the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
