St. Stanislaus Basilica, Winona, MN hosted a Vocation Panel including Franciscan Sister of Christian Charity Postulant Mary Bettag and Vocation Director Sister Julie Ann Sheahan. The Wednesday evening also included a scavenger hunt, visiting with students from St. Stanislaus as well as St. Mary Parish. Of course, there was time for questions. Mary spoke about her own call to be a Franciscan Sister and introduced the crowd to our Community. We handed out Sister-made Mercy bracelets while encouraging all to check out our website song of the month.
Our outreach journeys include conversations with young women who let us know that they would like to meet us where they live. In addition, we enjoy making contact with family of our Sisters. This time we visited with Mary’s sister Regina attending St. Mary University.
