Franciscan Sister Mary Frances Maher shares about a Robotics Competition at St. Mary School, Hilbert, WI.

Recently, Sisters Marlene Schwaller, Shirley Spilker, Julie Ann Sheahan, Charles Ann Champeau and I traveled to Hilbert, St. Mary’s, to support the children involved in  a Robotics Competition.  Third through sixth graders along with a teacher advisor, showed their skills of programming and running their robots.  There were 4 groups of 4 students plus a teacher. It was a lot of fun to watch the Star Wars themed groups compete.  Prizes were awarded at all levels and included some 3-D printed Star Wars figures!  We were impressed at the knowledge and the skill that was shown.Franciscan Sisters at Robotics Competition

A nice crowd was on hand to watch the action with Darth Vader making an entrance at the end of the program.  Sister Marlene and I were proud of what the students had accomplished as we had previously seen them in their early stages.  I would like to attend their programming classes sometime. Faculty are deserving of praise!Faculty St. Mary School Hilbert WIMore pictures on Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity facebook page.
