Franciscan Sister Sharon Paul sends greetings after a gathering of Women Religious in the Diocese of Stenbenville, OH.

Women Religious serving in the Steubenville Diocese like to gather at least once a year in a prayerful setting. The beauty of  the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption, Marietta, Ohio was heart-warming and perfect for this event.  Msgr. J. Michael Campbell, Delegate for Religious, welcomed everyone.  franciscan-sisters-in-cambridge-gather-with-other-religious-in-marietta-oh

The noon parish Mass was celebrated by Bishop Jeffrey Monforton. In his homily the Bishop thanked the Sisters for their years of service.  He said: “The Sisters’ lives show the steadfast service of the vows and they are spiritual enablers, shining the light of Jesus to others.” franciscan-sisters-at-marietta-oh-eucharist-for-religious

A delicious Luncheon followed as the Sisters shared what is happening in their lives and communities. Postulants and novices were also present and it was truly a “Celebration of Gratitude.”
