Here’s news about a weekend of faith. Franciscan Sister Louise Hembrecht and Sister Mary Frances Maher were invited to a recent Youth Encounter at Mary Grove Retreat Center in Garden, MI. Leaders and 23 young people from the Diocese of Marquette YEC arrived on Friday for a spirited weekend. Young people shared faith, witnessed to the power of Christ’s love, and came to appreciate a whole new way of living religious values.
Sister Louise and Sister Mary Frances facilitated group discussions and served on a vocation panel. They witnessed to God’s calling each of them uniquely and yet also their unity in being Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity all weekend long.
