Franciscan Sister Sharon Paul reflects on recent Vocation Evening at Christ Our Light Parish, Cambridge, OH.

“Behind and before every vocation to the priesthood or consecrated life there is always strong and intense prayer from someone: a grandmother, a grandfather, a mother, a father, a community…Vocations are born in prayer and only in prayer can they persevere and bear fruit.”franciscan-sister-sharon-and-vocation-speaker

These words of Pope Francis and reflections from Father Augustus Nweze on “The Universal Call to Holiness” focused the Catholic Women’s Club Vocation Evening at St. Benedict Church, Cambridge, OH. First, a Potluck Supper created community. A Holy Hour for Vocations followed the guest speaker from Nigeria and included intercessions for the priests in our lives, meditation on personal witness, meditations From the Popes, prayers for vocations, petitions and Benediction. Indeed, these ladies put into action our Holy Father’s thoughts.franciscan-sisters-at-christ-our-light-parish-cambridge-oh
