With the coming of Thanksgiving , Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity are ready to distribute 45 warm hats and scarfs to children over 5 years old.  Southfield Townhouses Neighborhood Network Learning Center in Manitowoc, WI is assisting with distribution to families.  hats-and-scarfs

This Christmas outreach project was previously coordinated with Sister Paul Mathe and staff.  Today Sister Virgine Van Thull, Sister Mary Felice Wellman, Sister Mary Wilma Trottier and Sister Cyrilla Jackels offer a caring spirit in the name of all the Sisters.franciscan-sisters-sew-for-poor-and-needy

This is not the first time for this Sisters’ sewing  circle to respond with a thoughtful hand to others. Blankets with pocketed stuff animals are made for the Holy Family Memorial Cancer Care Center and The Crossing for infants. We are grateful to be able to do something meaningful that helps others. Project materials are often donated and new ideas explored. We continue to look for new ways to serve.cancer-care-and-the-crossing-blankets-sewed-by-franciscan-sisters
