Immaculate Conception Parish, Yuma, AZ recently hosted the 4th Annual Run/Walk with the Nuns. Franciscan Sisters were among them. Winter mornings in the desert are a great time to exercise. Combining this with a good cause of vocation awareness of the consecrated life, the timing couldn’t be better.Franciscan Sisters at Walk Run for Consecrated Life

Franciscan Sister Charleen Acker had this to say about the event: “The weather was perfect. We had a  big crowd. It is one of our annual fundraisers–a healthy one.”Franciscan Sisters at Walk Run for Consecrated Life 2

Immaculate Conception Parish continues to remember with pride the long history of the Catholic faith being planted in this desert area. Our Franciscan Sisters arrived in time for school September 1, 1930. Our Sisters continue to enjoy the warmth of friendships with the families of students taught at the Catholic elementary schools and high school.Franciscan Sister Charleen at Walk Run for Consecrated LifeClick here to walk with Franciscan Sisters for a discernment retreat.
