Franciscan Sisters Host Shrine Women’s Evening

Franciscan Sisters from two congregations collaborate on Women’s Evening at Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help, Champion, WI.

When considering the important people in your life is the mother of Jesus among them? Hear how Mary continues to influence two Sisters during an evening of prayer on April 26 at the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help in Champion.

The event, titled “An Evening of Prayer for Women Seeking a Deeper Relationship with Christ through Mary,” will begin at 6:30 pm with Liturgy of the Hours, which is the official set of daily prayers of the Catholic Church. Then, Sister Elise Cholewinski, a member of the St. Francis of the Holy Cross, and Sister Myra Jean Sweigart, a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, will share their stories. Their communities are co-sponsoring the event. A light reception will follow; the event will conclude around 8 pm.
