Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity are hosting Camp Franciscan 2017: GOD’S AMAZING GRACE Run so as to win! (1 Cor. 9:24) June 12-15, 2017. 40 campers from AZ, NE, OH, MI and WI are here for a vocation-focused week of prayer, fun and growing in community with each other and our Sisters. All the Sisters raised prayers of support for the camp. Over 50 Sisters were directly involved in some aspect in the planning.
Representing 7 (arch)dioceses, they were housed in our Motherhouse. Some chaperones were with us to assist with transportation from distance locations. All campers received a journal-passport to walk them through the experience. Along with the schedule, girls found helpful pages on prayer, maps and directives to make it easier to navigate our home. 
In addition to group activities that included everything from balancing books on top of their heads to estimating cost of items, there were reflection times each day to listen to God and be sensitive to movements of the Holy Spirit throughout the day.
Campers joined the Sisters for Morning and Evening Prayer. Each evening there was a procession to the Lourdes Grotto or on Wednesday, a Eucharistic Procession anticipating the Feast of Corpus Christi. A culminating post party shared a joyful celebration of the campers’ personal gifts and talents.
