Open to reflecting on the topic of Catholic vocations with various audiences, Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity  often witness on vocation panels. We grow deeper in our own calls as we share God’s faithfulness on the journey.

Prince of Peace Parish, Green Bay, WI was one of those vocation outreach stops. Novices Sister Mary Teresa and Sister Cecilia Joy were guest panelists for a Wednesday evening Confirmation preparation class. The Ordained Life, Marriage and Consecrated Life became the focus of the evening discussion. It was the perfect time to invite high school young women to consider  Camp Franciscan in June 2018.

Sister Dorothy Wagner and Sister Ann Carla Baumann also were invited by one of Sister Ann Carla’s former students to respond to students’ questions at Notre Dame High School. Our Sisters found the students very friendly and appreciative of their time with them.

St. Paul Parish, Genessee Depot, WI was another Sunday sharing time with families. Sister Mary Teresa, Sister Clare Rose and Sister Julie Ann Sheahan joined Archdiocesan Vocation Director Father Luke Strand in a session with parents following the 9 a.m. Eucharist. Later in the morning, there was time designated to presentations for children. The 4 vocations of  marriage, single life, priesthood and consecrated life were reflected on in the light of God’s truly wanting our happiness. Prayer was encouraged to grow in knowledge of God and love for Him, as well as loving service of others as we seek to do His will.
