Franciscan Novice Reflects on Rural Upbringing

In a recent issue of the The Country Today, Sister Cecilia Joy Kugel (birth name Megan Kugel), a novice in our Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity Community, reflected on her own rural roots. She is the daughter of Chuck and Mary Lou Kugel, who operated a dairy and crop farm in the Shawano County town of Waukechon for nearly 30 years starting in 1987. Now, the family rents out the property as cropland.
