Franciscan Sister of Christian Charity Sister Caritas Strodthoff, Sister Patricia Sevcik, Sister Marcus Steede and Sister Colleen Demro recently visited the Green Bay Botanical Gardens’ Butterfly Display. It was a perfect summer outing. Here are some comments.

These are photos from the Butterfly Display at Green Bay Botanical Gardens.

You could “feed” the butterflies by holding a mouth swab that had soaked in Gatorade and water 50/50. They would like on the sponge and drink up!! They also love sweet juices like chunks of watermelon (the red), orange slices, cantaloupe chunks, banana slices. I’d like to hang some out in the garden but I’m wondering about the bees etc. This butterfly display was all enclosed so “Butterflies Only”…and people. It was a delightful time with butterflies lighting on your shoulder, your head, all over. Marvelous.Watch for coverage on our own raising of butterflies at the Motherhouse.
