Franciscan Sister Sharon Paul shares about a recent opportunity for the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick at St. Benedict Church, Cambridge, Ohio.

What a blessed day to offer the Sacrament of Anointing at a Mass on a recent Sunday, at St. Benedict’s Church, Cambridge, Ohio at 2:30 P.M. Fr. Paul Hrezo and Fr. Bob Borer were the celebrants. Parish members filled other roles of service to enhance the liturgy.

The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick was a real outflowing of God’s love.  It gave all present grace, God’s very strength and courage to deal with or overcome the difficulties of suffering with a disease, illness or facing death.  It was a real source of healing for the individual and the parish community as we gathered to pray.

A delicious Reception was held in the Social Hall after the service. It was planned by women in the parish. It fed all present and created great conversation and camaraderie for all ages!
