Franciscan Sisters’ Invite to Discernment of Spirits Retreat

Sister JulieAnn Sheahan

October 07, 2019

Franciscan Sister of Christian Charity Sister Jacqueline Spaniola is leading retreats, based on St. Ignatius’ discernment process to guide you in understanding God’s will for your life. We invite you to our  Motherhouse, 2409 South Alverno Road, Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Here’s what young women say about a time for prayer and presence at our home.

Having a deeper sense of God’s love for me and his desire for me to enter my vocation, whatever it is, when he is ready for me, touched my heart these days. To just continue to be close to him and fall deeper in love as I wait. Also, the sense of community here-my heart feels so at peace and at home. -Lauren

The atmosphere of the retreat allows one to be open and receive the talk(s). -Marie Grace

There are two options for retreat October 18-20 or November 15-17. Please choose the one that works for you. Retreat begins with the evening meal on Friday. It closes on Sunday  at 12:30 p.m. If these dates do not work for you, we are very happy to help you design a discernment visit just for you either at our Motherhouse or a convent near you! St. Francis sought sacred spaces to be with God. So, we offer solitude and silence, balanced with meaningful conversations with our Sisters.  Register here for all experiences.
