Recently, Franciscan Sister of Christian Charity welcomed Diocese of Green Bay Newly Ordained Father Kevin Ripley for morning Eucharist. Deacon Kevin’s great uncle, Norbertine Father Samuel Jadin, was our well-loved Motherhouse chaplain, for many years.  Fr. Kevin used Father Sam’s re-plated chalice, a special Ordination gift  to him from his family, for the Mass.  It was a precious symbol of our loved ones in heaven and earth being so present with us at liturgy.

Did you miss Sister Cecilia Joy’s interview with Father Kevin early this year?

Father Kevin was assigned to St. Raphael Parish, Oshkosh, Wisconsin, as well as St. Mary, Omro and St. Mary, Winneconne. Our Sister Pam Biehl, Pastoral Leader at both Omro and Winneconne, and Sister Colleen Demro, also present in both settings, are eager to share ministry with Father Kevin in the near future. The tradition of a member of Fr. Kevin’s family serving our Sisters continues.
