Xavier High School Students Visit Franciscan Sisters’ Motherhouse

Sister JulieAnn Sheahan

May 21, 2022

When the Xavier Campus Ministry Team planned an all-school retreat day, they invited us Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity to be part of it.  We were touched to be contacted. Sister Julie Ann Sheahan, with the help of other Sisters, felt we could really provide a spiritual and service-focused day best on our campus, rather than a presentation in another setting. The students were invited to find God while experiencing the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity Motherhouse.

Sister Pam Biehl led the prayer part of the visit with the theme: Seeing God in everyday life: “St. Francis and St. Clare saw the good and holy possibility in the culture of everyday life”

Sister Elaine Turba helped with the service aspect of the day by leading the students in tying quilts for the poor in Africa.

The day went quickly. It was soon time to board the bus back to Appleton for a later afternoon Eucharistic liturgy.
