Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity invite you to listen to Fr. Thomas Lijewski at Holy Family Parish, Fond du lac, Wisconsin in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee on the Cost of Discipleship. It’s message on the Cost of Discipleship is timely and worthy of hearing more than once at any time. The Readings are taken from the Twenty-Third Sunday in Ordinary Time: Philemon 9-10, 12-17 and Luke 14:25-33.

Holy Family Catholic Community, located in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, is a parish made up of six churches and 5,800 families, guided by its vision to live as disciples in Christ, living witness to the Good News. To learn more about the parish and see its Mass schedule, please visit hffdl.org/mass.

Some important take aways from Father Tom:

Philemon is being asked by Saint Paul to accept as a brother a run-away slave. Slavery is still in the world.

Baptism makes a relationship not only with our Lord Jesus Christ, but with one another. It’s called Church.

Do you join the Church to improve your station in life? or for profit? Choices have consequences good to bad.

Failure…We grow with challenges.

There are many people committing themselves to the Gospel of Christ even in religious life and priesthood…
