On May 13, 2025 St. John the Baptist, Marshfield, Wisconsin Young Adults invited Franciscan Sister of Christian Charity Sister Mary Ann Spanjers and Midwest Capuchin Brother Nathan Linton to present The Eucharist Adoration to Action. Also present were Diocese of La Crosse pastor Father Dan Thelen and Father Todd Misna, newly appointed associate pastor as of May. Participants were engaged and appreciative of new insights on Franciscan Spirituality and the Eucharist. It was an evening to remember.
This presentation-reflection consists of five brief videos, brief oral descriptions and a handout outlining the movement of one’s heart as seen in the life of St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi. There are three discussion reflection questions for young adults to engage in with each other and time for personal questions, comments and reflections.
Here are a few comments from participants:
“I appreciated the story of St. Francis, the message on silence and how God works through it and how we find ourselves in it.”
“I liked the variety in the presentation style switching between Sr. Mary Ann, Brother Nathan and the video and having a few questions kept the presentation interesting and kept me engaged. Also I appreciated the first question that we shared with a partner about our experience of adoration.”
