Year of Saint Francis Conversation: Fr. Placid Stroik OFM

In this Year of St. Francis as we commemorate Holy Thursday and the institution of the Holy Eucharist and Priesthood, Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity share a conversation with Franciscan Friar of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Province Father Placid Stroik, OFM. Presently engaged and anchored in ministry in Manitowoc as our Chaplain at Holy Family Convent and Franciscans Downtown in Stevens Point, Father Placid recounts his gradual learning of his call to be a follower of the Poor Man of Assisi.  As Franciscan Sisters, we are blessed to have Father Placid and Father Gerald Prusakowski for our sacramental needs as we share the Franciscan charism together here in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

Invitation

Father Placid was called by God to be a Franciscan friar. Is God calling you to be a Franciscan Sister? The world needs you. God calls you. We invite you.

A great conversation with Fr. Placid. In his homilies there is always a bit of wisdom, a bit of wit, and a lot of wonderful insights from contemporary life and authors. We are blessed to have him!
