Home to all of our sisters, residence of our General Administration, of postulants, novices, directresses, retired sisters, and many sisters involved in community apostolates, such as services in our business offices, St. Rita’s Health Care for our elderly and infirmed sisters, clinic, vocation office, archives, etc. Franciscan Sisters who reside at the Motherhouse also serve in various city outreaches to the poor and homeless, teaching religious education, working with youth and young adults, providing hospitality to priests, serving at Our Lady of Good Help Shrine, welcoming family members and visitors, directing vocation retreats, hosting meetings, teaching classes, etc. It is a place of prayer, retreats, and gatherings of the entire community.

The Offices of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity Sponsored Ministries, Inc. are located here in Manitowoc with our Franciscan Sisters serving the Catholic System in roles of Board Chair, Board Members and Vice President of Mission.

Utilizing music to bring joy and meaning to life, our Sisters are involved in giving private and group music lessons to children, youth, and adults on instruments including strings, woodwinds, percussion, piano etc. Recitals, concerts, choirs, and special celebrations are part of life for these Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity.

Education is key to Christian formation. Franciscan Sisters serve in area Catholic Schools and in parishes in the diocese. One of our Sisters is helpful as a Spanish translator. Another serves as Vicar for Religious.

Sponsored by the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, our Sisters serve as board members and volunteers of hospitality.

A Franciscan Sister serves as a pastoral visitor to the elderly and the infirmed. Our Sisters continue to pray for this founding place in our history.

St. Paul Elder Care Services, Kaukauna, sponsored by the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, is assisting the Diocese of Green Bay in the loving care of residents here in Green Bay. A Franciscan Sister is now serving as Director of Mission serving employees and all involved in this community.

A Franciscan Sister serves as a Pastoral Minister to Annunciation, St. Joseph, St. Jude and St. Patrick parishes.

A group of our Franciscan Sisters resides and minister in various aspects of community service, outreach to the Catholic parish in Manitowoc, Holy Family Conservatory and a local nursing care facility.

Ministries of the Franciscan Sisters in the Catholic Parish include pastoral visits to the sick and homebound and serving as catechists in religious education programs.

Healing and wholeness are the concentration of the Franciscan Sisters reaching out to the community as a director of mission and spiritual care; and as sponsored presence. Our Sisters live at St. Paul Convent within walking distance of St. Paul Elder Services sponsored by the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity.
