Becoming a Franciscan Sister
“A call is an interior invitation and response to a Person – the second Person of the Blessed Trinity. “It is not like choosing a career. My call was to belong to Our Lord in a life of consecrated love. I feel that my ministry is the outward expression of total self-giving. I was ready for whatever Jesus would ask of me.” Sr. Maria Goretti, OSF
Formation in our Franciscan Community is also a journey with God. Our steps include Postulancy, Novitiate, Temporary Profession and Continuing Formation as we discern our call to be a Perpetually Professed member.
We grow in confidence in the God who walks with us. We grow in our God-given personal qualities while incarnating the life, spirit and Gospel mission which are our heritage as Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity.
These are the first steps in formation to become a Franciscan Sister.
“When we are not sure, we are alive.” – Graham Greene
