Becoming a Franciscan Sister
“My vocation was a surprise when I first became aware. Over the years of saying ‘yes’ to the call to religious life, my life has been one of purpose, meaning and satisfaction. ” – Sister Carol Ann Gambsky, OSF
Formation in our Franciscan Community is also a journey with God. Our steps include Postulancy, Novitiate, Temporary Profession and Continuing Formation as we discern our call to be a Perpetually Professed member.
We grow in confidence in the God who walks with us. We grow in our God-given personal qualities while incarnating the life, spirit and Gospel mission which are our heritage as Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity.
These are the first steps in formation to become a Franciscan Sister.
“When we are not sure, we are alive.” – Graham Greene
If you are wondering what a discernment journey might look like from vocation retreat to perpetual profession, Sister Pamela Catherine shares her call to be a Franciscan Sister. For part two, click here.
