A new year calls for new adventures. It also calls for holding on to the best of the past as we move into the future. Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity are continuing to offer a spiritual discernment retreat introducing Catholic young women ages 20-35 to Saints Francis and Clare on January 15-17 and a few other weekends. Click here for all dates. However, we are withdrawing a bit from just focusing on purely prayer and inviting you to consider two other experiences that involve prayer in action.

On January 6 you are invited to join us for a light-hearted Groundbreaking Franciscan Convent Game on Zoom. Expect the 6:30 PM event to focus on people, places and phrases that are associated with the Franciscan family. Sister Concepcion will be our Zoom host. Novices Sister Mary Jane and Sister Maria Guadalupe will also add to the fun of the evening. Expect a few meaningful door prizes.

Do you ever wonder as you wander what a convent looks like in different places in our country? Our second experience is a Franciscan Convent Zoom Visit on January 13 at 6:30 PM. Our Franciscan Sisters serving in Arizona, Michigan, Nebraska and Wisconsin will offer an inside view of some of our living areas in these locations. St. Albert the Great, Houghton, Michigan Campus Minister Sister Jacqueline Spaniola will serve as the host for this virtual pilgrimage.

In the case of these possible discernment experiences, you need only register for the event and a Zoom link will be sent to you. We invite you to register for the game night or the convent visit here:  Vocation Retreat Registration – Franciscan Sisters (fscc-calledtobe.org)
