Camp Franciscan 2020
All the activities we did -learning more about our faith and also learning more about life as a Sister- touched my heart.
Are you looking for a summer experience of being with other young women open to the call of becoming a Franciscan Sister? Young women active in professional lives or college lives or college and high school, are invited to make friends from various states while spending some time with us at our Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity Motherhouse, 2409 South Alverno Road, Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Camp Franciscan 2020 begins June 15 at 10 a.m. to June 18 closing @12:30 p.m. Those from a distance often travel on Sunday.
This year’s theme is: Celebrating the Call…grateful for the ties of love which Jesus binds us together.
Here’s what you can expect these days of camp:
- Grow in your relationships: yourself, others, God and the world.
- Discover skills for discerning your vocation.
- Encounter religious and learn about the call to be a Franciscan Sister.
My heart was touched during Camp Franciscan by all the Sisters and their stories.
Having a team and a common goal made it easier to make friends.
All sitting in St. Francis Chapel and singing Praise and Worship songs as a whole group was very heart-warming.
