Genesis HealthCare System was created in 1997 as an affiliation between Good Samaritan Medical Center and Bethesda Care System, two health care organizations that served the community for more than 100 years. Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity are involved as a mission chaplain and volunteers providing care in a six-county region of southeastern Ohio.
