Book ‘At Home’ Assisi Pilgrimage to Sacred Places of St. Francis and St. Clare

May 11, 2011

No need for ‘jet lag fighter’ or ‘get packed’ apps for this pilgrimage. Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity are preparing for one of the Franciscan Pilgrimage Program’s customized  experiences May 13-15, 2011.

The  concept of “spirituality of place”, specifically those that formed Francis and Clare remain at the heart of these days. These sacred places come alive virtually as our Sisters gather at our Motherhouse, a place dear to our own community for over 125 years.

Fr. John Petrikovic, OFM Cap and Sister Patricia Linssen are the official pilgrim guides. A Capuchin Franciscan friar from Butler, PA, Fr. John  leads rituals, prayers, Eucharistic celebrations, and lectures in St. Francis Chapel and in St. Al’s homeroom. Sister Patricia organizes all the details that make an experience comfortably memorable. Motherhouse kitchen staff are planning Italian menus to help accentuate the spiritual for meals.
