How Religious Unite to Inspire Family Lenten Reflection

Today, Ash Wednesday, begins our journey of Lent. In preparation for this season calling for personal and communal renewal, Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity invited Sisters of St. Francis of the Holy Cross, Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother, Felician Sisters of North America, Monks of Holy Resurrection Monastery, and Franciscan Friars of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Province to offer images of meaningful moments in the life of Jesus’ Passion and Resurrection for family reflection. Highlighted in the series are also some illustrations from St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Manitowoc, WI.

Submitted photos come from the Sisters’ own convents, the monk’s monastery or in the case of the Franciscan Friars, from St. Mary of the Angels Church, Green Bay, WI,  and the Felician Sisters, the chapel at Felician Village, Manitowoc, WI. Some of the religious communities promised to reflect on their image (s) during the time of Lent in blogs. We invite you to follow the links above for further inspiration.

Be assured that you are remembered by all of us religious in daily prayer. Please pray for us.
