Archdiocese of Omaha Youth from West Point Participate in National Pro-Life March in Washington D.C.

The archdiocese of Omaha will again send students to Washington, D.C. to the Youth Rally and the National Pro-Life March in Washington, D.C.

The students will join millions of people worldwide in a peaceful pro-life walk to be held in conjunction with the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade.

Eleven students from Guardian Angels Central Catholic, West Point, Nebraska will join Sister Joellen Kohlmann and other students from the Omaha Archdiocese.

To help defray some of the trip expenses, Lisa Hunke, Campus Minister at GACC led a fundraiser by creating a Right to Life calendar featuring photos of athletes from GACC in their sports uniforms with a baby in their arms.  All the babies are in some way connected with the school’s supporters.  This unique 2013 calendar was a very popular selling item.

Below the monthly photo is the name of the sports player who thanks the parents for the gift of life they gave to the baby.

The photography was done by a 2010 GACC student graduate, Kylie Kreikemeier, who is currently attending the University of Nebraska Lincoln.
