Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity Motherhouse Community welcomed Manitowoc, WI, St. Francis of Assisi Parish Young Adult Core Team for Life Teen for a recent weekend of reflection and renewal. About 20 guests arrived at 5:15 p.m. Saturday evening.
As a special Saturday night surprise, 23 additional high school students arrived to offer supportive prayer for his/her particular group leader. Many stayed to join the Core Team for a holy hour, Sacrament of Reconciliation, praise and worship music and Benediction. Franciscan Friar of the Assumption BVM Province Father Placid Stroik and Father William Van Dynhoven were humble sacramental servants.
Sunday’s retreat schedule included more time for personal prayer and small group sharing closing with arrival back at the Waldo Boulevard Life Teen house to welcome everyone for the 5 p.m. Eucharist.
