Manitowoc Franciscans Elect New Leadership by Benjamin Wideman

Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity share a recent link from the Diocese of Green Bay The Compass re: our election of our General Administration.  Reporter Benjamin Wideman interviewed our soon to be servant leaders.

MANITOWOC — Sr. Natalie Binversie felt there was a chance she’d be one of five sisters elected to the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity’s general Franciscan-Sisters-of-Christian-Charity-General-Administrationadministration.

But even she was surprised when her fellow sisters voted her into the top spot as community director on June 24 during the Chapter of Elections, which is held every six years.

“I was awestruck and overwhelmed, because I never expected I would have this position,” Sr. Natalie said at the motherhouse while sitting alongside the other four members of the newly elected general administration — first councilor Sr. Adrianna Schouten, second councilor Sr. Anne Marie Lom, third councilor Sr. Myra Jean Sweigart and fourth councilor Sr. Theresa Feldkamp.
