Franciscan Sisters Lead Prayer Concert at Green Bay Cathedral

August 09, 2013

Sharing song with each other has long been a treasured pastime of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity. Sharing this gift with the wider community through our Music Outreach program and through an event such as our recent invitation at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, Green Bay, WI,  on August 9, 2013 to lead a concert of prayer during the noon hour is a privilege and a joy.

Franciscan-Sisters-lead-concert-on-vocational-call-at-St.-Francis-Xavier-Cathedral-Green-Bay-WISong is one of our favorite ways of praising God and praising the Gospel! The songs we chose were meant to be a meditation on the vocational call, our response and the deepening of that call in our lives as Franciscan women religious. Our wish and our prayer is that these songs spoke to the people who came to be with us of their own call and the deepening of their life in God. Thanks for listening and praying with us!

Here are a few of our selections:

The Call by Suzanne Toolan

In Perfect Charity by Randall DeBruyn (verse 1 text is based on the prayer of St. Francis of Assisi before the Cross)
