October 24, 2013

St. Kilian Catholic Community, Hartford, WI,  celebrated 150 years of being Church on October 20, 2013. Accepting an invitation for the celebration, Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity relived history by returning on behalf of our Sisters who served in the parish school between 1891-1901.

Celebrating 150 years at St. Kilian Catholic Church Hartford, WIPastor David LaPlante, who himself had our Sisters as teachers in Green Bay, welcomed us along with the people who prayed with us church or sat near us at dinner in the historic Chandelier Ballroom. In this Year of Faith and this parish’s 150th anniversary, we ask the intercession of St. Kilian, Irish missionary bishop and the apostle of today’s northern part of Bavaria who began his labours towards the end of the 7th century,  for all God’s people. His motto was:  “To Pray, Love, and Serve together in Christ.” May we be inspired by others in our midst to grow deeper in faith and service.St. Kilian Church Hartford WI
