Desiring to include the beauty of creation at this time of year in dining room table displays and in other areas around the house, Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity offer some original Christmas Crèche ideas. Sister Jolynn Kolbeck and Sister Andrèe Du Charme describe the individual pieces.
Many Sisters were involved in the crèche project for St. Francis Convent Christmas dining room center pieces. Little Nativity figures were sought, and Sisters provided them. Anyone interested was invited to create manger scenes for these figures.
Pine cones, bark, straw and greens were collected from our grounds. One of our maintenance men cross-cut slabs of wood for the bases. LED battery run string lights were added and the created arrangements that you see are the
happy results.
