Franciscan Sister of Christian Charity Sister Kathleen Murphy shares how her St. Francis of Assisi, Greenwood, MS kindergarten class learn about respect for human life.

January 22nd has become a day for many to call to mind the value of the gift of life.  Kindergarteners at St. Francis of Assisi School in Greenwood, MS are learning that God creates everything out of love, especially each of us.

St. Francis of Assisi Greenwood MS Kindergarten learn about respect for human lifeThey talked about how fragile a little baby is and how much love and care is required to nurture that little life. Some big brothers and big sisters showed the rest how to hold a baby with love. They are busy working in their coloring books while learning about how their lives began in God’s sight.

The children were awed at seeing the picture of the baby before it was born.  These little ones are convinced that they have been God’s child since long before they were born!  What an inspiration they are to all the adults they will touch!
