Justice, Peace and the Integrity of Creation (JPIC) is a Kingdom Spirituality. It is a unity between contemplation and action; mysticism and prophesy. It is a new way of being in the world.

  • It is guided by the logic of the cross (non-violence).
  • It is motivated by a ‘paschal hope’-belief in the victory of the cross over evil and death.

It is a Gospel Spirituality. (Jn 10:10 and Rm 14: 14, 17)

It is a Church Spirituality.

It is a transformation of individual hearts and all structures.

It is a Congregational Spirituality. It is a love for the poor, a commitment to peace and a care for creation. It is a restoration of right relationships at every level: God, oneself, others, creation.

We are called to be attentive to what is happening around us, to hear the cries of the world in which we live and to see life with the eyes of God.
