Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity Motherhouse makes for a great vintage tea party. It was the brilliant idea of Brittany Wilms, St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Manitowoc, WI, servant leader to youth, who offered the suggestion and invited area young women to join us.
Our front door began ringing at 6:25 p.m.. Photo shoots throughout the evening captured moments of dress-up clothing including hats and gloves, poses on our beautifully carved staircases, tea time, and prayer in St. Francis Chapel. A candlight procession to Our Lady of Lourdes grotto added radiance to the night sky.
Conversation was enhanced by live music from Novice Sister Maria Thérèse. Piano pieces included classical to contemporary.
We look forward to our next convent-style tea time.
