Franciscan Sister Sharon Paul shares recent road trip to Sts. Peter and Paul, Wellston, OH.
Recently, our 5 Franciscan Sisters serving in the Cambridge, OH area journeyed to Sts. Peter & Paul, Wellston, OH for a Sunday Mass. Pastor, Father Donald Maroon also provided a grand tour.
After the introductions at Mass, Father thanked our Sisters for the hard work and heritage they left behind over these many years. He gave each Sister present a flashlight & said: “Thank you for the light and may it continue to shine wherever you (we) are!”
Father Maroon toured the school and former convent, which was added on to and has become a wonderful learning space for a Pre-School, a music room and a multi-purpose room used by the school, parish and the community of Wellston.
A delicious meal at Lee’s Restaurant followed, compliments of the owner, a parishoner at Sts. Peter & Paul’s.
What a wonderful experience seeing what a Pastor, his parishoners and the town do in providing quality education for the future leaders of our world.
