Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity Postulant Tricia shares her recent experience at St. Agnes Convent, Green Bay, WI.
I went to St. Agnes Convent in Green Bay. There are six Sisters stationed there. They all do different things, so I got to shadow them in different areas. Two days I went to Holy Family School where Sister Ann Carla tutors. I observed in two different schools in one building. I observed 7th, and 8th graders literature class of Holy Family School. I also observed the 1st and 2nd graders of St. John Paul II Classical School.
Then it was off to the Green Bay Dioceses office where Sister Jackie and Sister Kathryn work. I sat in on a meeting for principals. It gave me a different perspective within the education field. Later that same day Sister Anne Marie (Selinsky) picked me up and showed me all the churches she works in. I met many people and saw her office.
I did not go to the school with Sr. Rosalyn because of a delay caused by the weather, but I did get to hang around with all the Sisters which was great! I also went shopping with Sister Dorothy. All in all it felt like a big family and it was great to be a part of it. I really had a great time with all of them! They are amazing at what they do!
