On August 22, 2019, the Memorial of the Queenship of Mary, Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity welcomed Postulant Mary Jane to Holy Family Convent Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Mary Jane is a beloved daughter of Sacred Heart Parish, L’Anse, Michigan. She will share more about herself in the near future.
We are reminded in our Rule of St. Francis Regular:
Those who through the Lord’s inspiration come to us desiring to accept this way of life are to be received kindly…Let everything pertaining to this gospel way of life be explained to them, especially these words of the Lord: “If you wish to be perfect go and sell all your possessions and give to the poor. You will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” And “if anyone wishes to follow me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.”
