Franciscan Sister of Christian Charity Sister Rochelle Kerkhof shares about a recent Teens Encounter Christ in the Diocese of Lincoln.
Living a Core Value: “We witness a radical and joyful way of life through selfless dedication to the service of others…..”
The Diocese of Lincoln, NE hosted its FIRST TEC (Teens Encounter Christ) – since the beginning of the Covid19 Pandemic. Our TEC Spiritual Director, Father Harlan Waskowiak, requested the presence of Sisters for completing the ‘behind the scenes’ staffing that is needed in prayer and other details of supporting the weekend. Since the Lincoln Diocesan Sisters had prior commitments during this weekend, they were not available.
Sister Rochelle Kerkhof issued a call: HELP NEEDED PLEASE!
Sister Elizabeth Ann Miller and Sister Louise Hambrecht responded to the call and came to our rescue! With selfless dedication and at the expense of their comfort (and sleep) they came to serve our candidates and co-ministers during this entire weekend! Sister Elizabeth Ann and Sister Louise are OUR HEROES; we are very proud of their generosity and prayerful presence among us.
