Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity share a ‘Day in the Life’ of Sr Jan Villemure, who joyfully serves as Pastoral Minister in Quad Parishes, Green Bay, Wisconsin.
“After teaching school as a Franciscan Sister of Christian Charity for many years, I enjoy learning from the wisdom of our parishioners, as I visit the sick at home, in care centers and hospitals. They teach me how to live as I age, to accept illness when it comes and to prepare for death someday, when God calls.”
Sr Anne Marie Selinsky also gratefully volunteers to serve parishioners and the homebound, coming full circle to her home parish where she first felt called to religious life ” As a Franciscan I bring a witness of poverty and simplicity, and Franciscan hospitality and joy – I hope it comes across.”
Since1869, we’ve followed our Franciscan charism to serve in Catholic Health Care, Education, Campus Ministry and Parish-Community Service throughout the United States. From Missions on Dioceses in Arizona, to the Dioceses of Lincoln and Omaha; from Columbus and Steubenville, to Wisconsin and Michigan. Our newest sisters in formation have joined us from Colorado, North Carolina and Texas. Would you like to know more about us, or join an online or in person retreat or visit? We invite you.
