Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity remember seven Sisters who died since November 1, 2022.

Carrying candles during the entrance procession for the Mass on November 2, the Feast of All Souls, the Sisters at the Motherhouse remembered seven Sisters who died since November 1, 2022.

Pictured front row left to right: Sister Valerie Lemansky (Jan. 31, 2023), Sister Annette Blonde (Oct. 24, 2023), Sister Mary Jerome Wensel (Jan. 4, 2023), Sister Mary Zigo (Nov. 23, 2022). Back row left to right: Sister  Theresa Schleis (July 20, 2023), Sister Mary Stephen Keller (June 13, 2023) and Sister Rose Ulmen (March 30, 2023).

Sisters Valerie, Annette, Mary Jerome, Mary Zigo, Theresa, Mary Stephen and Rose please intercede for us on behalf of vocations. May the Lord shine His face upon you and give you peace. Amen.

Next November, we will begin with our Sister Mary Bodwin who died on the day after our Founders Day, November 10.

Blessed are those who endure in peace, By You Most High, they will be crowned.

Praised be You, my Lord through Sister Death,
from whom no-one living can escape. Woe to those who die in mortal sin! Blessed are they She finds doing Your Will.

No second death can do them harm. Praise and bless my Lord and give Him thanks,
And serve Him with great humility.”

– St. Francis of Assisi
