Recently at Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity-sponsored Silver Lake College of the Holy Family, Bishop David Ricken, Bishop Ricardo Ramirez and Allan F. Wright presented at the Pope John XXIII Symposium Jesus the Evangelist: Holy, Engaged, Alive! 
Together speakers presented on facets of the new evangelization including:
- the call to holiness
- the life of Jesus
- serving the most vulnerable.
It was a day of adult faith formation for teachers, catechists, young adults, youth ministers and everyone interested in the new evangelization. Franciscan Sisters were happy to be among the crowd of disciples. We, too, are charged to “bring the modern world into contact with the vifiying and perennial energies of the Gospel.” (St. John XXIII)
